I took a class in PMC silver in Dec 2007 at the tail end of my chemotherapy with my friends Harriet and Elaine. We continued meeting once a week in the afternoon to “ play “ and make jewelry. We had tea, and lively conversations while exchanging artistic ideas and thoughts enhancing our skills each time. We really enjoyed our time together and that warmth stays with me even now, though Harriet is no longer with us and Elaine is busy with other projects. We all enjoyed incorporating leaves, seed pods, flowers, birds, animals, and nature around us in what we made. There is always a level of excitement when I am planning or actually sitting down to create something new. Even if I repeat a pattern it is never a carbon copy of what I made the last time. So each piece is unique. My hope for the piece will be that it is eye catching to wear or gift, because it invites positive comments. I have branched out from PMC silver to learning to work with copper. Creating new things is exciting and satisfying, I plan to keep going with this new interest.
Precious metal clay fine silver with 24 K gold embellishments and patina. The forms are earrings, pendants, rings and bracelets. I also make enameled copper earrings and pendants.
