My name is Marilyn Bates-Nolan and my business is "Scarlet Mare Studio". I have been selling my artisan jewelry on line and at festivals since 2012. I have made jewelry my whole life. I work from a studio in my home. I am very dedicated to my business and artistic endeavors. This is not a hobby for me. I am continually expanding and evolving as a jewelry designer and artist by trying new techniques and using new materials to create high quality artistic jewelry pieces.

I work with many materials and use different techniques of jewelry making to create my pieces. I use gemstones, wire, Sterling silver, Vermeil gold, Roman glass, Venetian glass and more. I am best known for my extensive and unexpected uses of color in my designs. I source my materials from various avenues including an annual trip to the magnificent Gem and Mineral show in Tucson, Arizona. I make all types of jewelry that include, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings and anklets.
