Mary Hammond

Born in Los Angeles, I studied art and graduated from California State University, Long Beach. Working in Theater Arts for many years painting scenery, I now combine my painting skills with fiber and textiles to create wonderfully soft wearable creations. Why shouldn't one take their art with them each day?

Using thread and fibers, I handcraft bright floral inspired textiles inspired from my garden. These creations are meant to be worn over a jacket, dress or sweater for a look of elegance mixed with F-U-N. Add a splash of color to your home by repurposing the scarf as a table runner or displaying the piece on a wall or window.
