Creating is my happiest place. My jewelry making has been a journey to get to where I am. It still is an adventure to get to where I am going. I began making jewelry as a child. As an adult I dabbled in many different types of jewelry mediums. In 2001 I took my first metal art class. I then found my true calling. I now do many local art festivals and sell in local stores. I have recently discovered the art of teaching. It is a gift to share creativity.
I work with re-purposed sheet copper. I get it at a recycle yard and bring it home to transform into unique art jewelry. I first clean up the metal and get it ready. It is prepared for etching, which is a very involved process. after etching pieces are cut out, drilled, deburred, cleaned and formed. They they either get hand painted or enameled. Sometimes I just Stamp and Hammer the Copper and make cuffs, earrings or necklaces. All my work is hand made by me. It is a labor of LOVE!
