I am 56 years old. I was born in Iowa where I lived for nineteen years and starting shooting photos at a very early age. I then moved to Colorado where I lived and worked in the Rockies for 10 years before moving too Santa Cruz, California in 1988. I have traveled extensively before I sustained multiple injuries, I have been to 12 or 15 countries outside of the USA. I was a building contractor for 20 years until I had to have my ninth sports and work related surgeries at which point, I had to reinvent myself so, I went back too school where I studied my true passion, photography, at Cabrillo collage in Aptos, California. I was voted third best photographer in Santa Cruz county my first year out of school, my second year out, I won best photographer and my third year, I won second place, all of which I am very honored to have won because of all of the wonderful photographers in the county. I volunteer on the whale entanglement team on the Monterey Bay and also spend a lot of personal time on the bay photographing marine mammals. My photo portfolio is very diverse however, I am know for my work with marine mammals, mainly whales and dolphins. I also have many sunrises and sunsets etc. I am an avid environmentalist and try to educate through my photography and marine sanctuary posters as part of my display.
All of my shots that I display are printed on high definition sheets of aluminum, amazing metallic photo paper and I now offer greeting cards. I also accept custom orders for canvas and other print formats.
