Jason Dayne
Jason Dayne received his BA in Visual Arts in 1976 at the University of California San Diego. He specialized in photography. Upon graduating, he embarked on a sailing voyage across the Pacific. Jason and Jeanne met in Tahiti in 1978. Jason continued sailing through the South Pacific Islands, New Zealand and reached Australia in 1980. Jeanne joined him in Melbourne, Australia later that year.
Jason began his jewelry design career in Melbourne and was inspired by the local design history of Art Nouveau. Referred to as Australiana, the unique indigenous flora is incorporated into JEEBA designs. For example Jason uses eucalyptus leaves, ferns and lilies in his original designs.
Jason has been successful as a jewelry designer for 35 years. He has a dedicated work ethic and always puts customer satisfaction as his number one priority. He and Jeanne enjoy the direct contact with customers and the bohemian lifestyle of the Art Show circuit. They spends winters in Ocean Grove, Australia. They return refreshed and ready for another year.
JEEBA is an Australian Aboriginal word meaning, “Let’s get together and have fun!” JEEBA Jewelry was established in Melbourne, Australia in 1983. Our designs reflect the Art Nouveau movement of Australia which is inspired by indigenous organic shapes. Our jewelry line is created in sterling silver combined with semi-precious gemstones and cultured pearls. JEEBA is a contemporary collection and is limited to production at our studio in Davis, CA. We have been making jewelry for over 30 years and have an extensive collection of original components to work with. Each JEEBA design originates from wax, wire or metal. Sometimes parts of vintage pieces have been integrated into our design. We then make lost wax castings in sterling from our original master component. Jason hand makes all earring hooks from silver wire and sets all the stones while Jeanne does beadwork and wirework. We have a beautiful selection of nearly 100 unique ring designs, each with a variety of semi-precious stone choices. Our customers appreciate that we resize any ring for a custom fit. We buy stones, beads and pearls from around the world. Our work is guaranteed to be of exceptional quality.
