Grammies Art started as Grammies Windchimes in 2007 when I came across a set of handmade wind chimes made with old silverware. I got the bug - and began making extraordinary wind chimes. At that point - I was watching an episode of the Golden Girls - and came across the episode where Blanche visits her grandmother's plantation before it was torn down. At the end of the episode - Blanche takes something to remember her grandmother - a set of old wind chimes. At the end of the episode - she says "I love you Grammy" - thus where the name of "GrammiesArt" comes from. Since then - my art has expanded into other areas - with my main feature now being night lights. Grammies Art is a hand made art boutique selling unique handmade night lights. Each night light is given special attention through each of the various stages of making each piece. My night lights range from small votive candle holders to large 3 foot tall light sculptures.
Grammies Art produces handmade art pieces ranging from small glass candle holders to large ornate sculptures using glass as our main artist medium. Glass vessels are transformed into colorful and unique pieces of art as we cover them with unique glass gems, stained glass, sea-glass and other unique items. We then grout the pieces allowing light to shine through the attached objects – transforming the pieces into unique, one-of-a-kind pieces of art. Grammies Art leverages two process in producing our art: 1. The glass vessel is chosen and adorned with glass gems, sea glass, shells, and other transparent items. 2. Once dry and set – the pieces are then grouted in various colors. The night lights also have bases with various types of lighting built into them for unique colors and shapes to the art pieces. Grammies Art takes pride in our art with the finest precision and attention to detail. Each piece is hand-created and is one of a kind.
