I have been creating ceramic art for over 4 years now. I strive to innovate and create functional art so my customers receive more than just a beautiful piece of art. I have many years of experience in throwing different styles of ceramics such as vases, dishes, cups, mugs, and also sculpt on occasions. My main focus now is my functional little ceramic dishes. It has taken over a year for us to create this style of a concept and we gat nothing but amazing feedback from our customers.

I use a slab construct technique to create all of my grating plates. we create around 50 plaster drape molds at a time and hand pick the style of teeth we would like to appear on each dish. We then use a slab machine to roll 3/8 inch slab. then, we use a 6 inch cookie cutter style tool to cut the dish from the slab and we press the slap onto our drape molds which create the depth of the teeth on our grating plates. We then stamp our back label onto the dish and set out to dry. Once dry, I lift the dish off the drape mold and compress it on the table to flatten the dish. I then scrub and fire to 04 oxidation. I give it another scrub bath and glaze using our food safe coyote brand glazes and fire to cone 5 for 14-16 hours. once cooled we have our finishing piece which is then packaged for our events.
